1 John 2:2 - He himself is the sacrifice that atones
for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of
all the world. (NLT)
Philippians 2:8 – And being found in appearance
as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death – even
death on a cross. (NIV)
2 Corinthian 5:21 - He made the One who did not know
sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness
of God in Him. (HCS)
The Bible tells us that the wages, or the cost, of our
sin is death. The Bible also tells us that Jesus, God’s
son, lived a sinless life. He had no price to pay, yet
he put his life in the place of your’s and mine
and endured the pain of death by being nailed to a cross.
His sacrifice atones for our sins.
